Planting gospel churches is God’s “Plan A” for reaching our nation — and there is no “Plan B!” We are committed to investing in the work of planting gospel-centered churches in strategic cities across the country. Although Tallahassee is our primary mission field, it is not our only mission field. God has called us to take the gospel to those who have never heard it, and one way we are seeking to do that is through church planting.
The Salt Network is a family of churches committed to reaching college students and planting churches in university centers across the country. City Church is proud to be a part of the Salt Network and join them on their mission to recruit and train church planters and send out church planting teams to strategic college towns across our nation.
THE HARVEST IS IN HUNTSVILLE.
In the Fall of 2026, Peyton and Jordan Lee Hill will be planting Christ City Church in Huntsville, Alabama. Huntsville has become the largest city in Alabama and the opportunity for gospel impact is growing! As of mid-2025, its population has marked a 16% increase since 2020. This growth has made Huntsville the fastest-growing metro area in the state and the 15th fastest-growing metro area in the nation, creating a need for new churches. We are praying for a launch team of 40 people to join the Hills as they take the gospel to Huntsville.
In partnership with the North American Mission Board, we support new churches being planted in New Orleans that will reach the city with the gospel in their local contexts. The metro New Orleans area is home to over 1 million people, but not nearly enough gospel-centered churches to reach these 1 million with the gospel.
CITY CHURCH supports three of the 29 currently active church plants in New Orleans: Connect Church, Lakeshore Church, and Immanuel Community Church
